[T]he Obama administration has told governors they cannot exempt their states from the controversial Secure Communities program, which uses fingerprints collected by local and state police to help immigration authorities.

The action was immediately denounced by some political leaders, immigration advocacy groups, and other opponents of the program.

Begun in 2008, Secure Communities was chiefly intended to identify and deport convicted felons found to be in the country illegally.

Governors in California, Illinois, Massachusetts and several other states have complained that the effort also has ensnared thousands of minor offenders, including some who were arrested but not yet tried or convicted, and has deterred some crime victims from coming forward to aid police.

Colorado officials had negotiated their agreement for months last year to ensure it included protection for victims of domestic violence who may be arrested by mistake and then identified as illegal immigrants.

Those protections are now void, said a Homeland Security official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

Most offenses are minor drug offenses in the United States.  With more than “77,000 immigrants convicted of crimes” in “1,400 jurisdictions,” “70% of the country,” the Obama Administration is continuing the ‘War’ on Immigration.

Barack Obama has violated that provision of the United States Constitution, which he swore, falsely it is now apparent, to defend and protect. Barack Obama has committed this greatest of impeachable offenses. Other offenses related to torture and violation of the civil liberties of U. S. citizens may emerge as articles of impeachment are drawn up.

Following a brief introduction, John Walsh points out Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) has called Obama’s intervention/war in Libya an impeachable offense (alternate source).  Walsh noted that “[i]f such liberals are genuine agents of peace, they too have an obligation to follow the lead of Kucinich … Otherwise they are poseurs, and they should be turned out of office.”

Walsh concludes his article:

President Barack Obama has violated the U.S. Constitution and employed the armed forces of the U.S. as a king’s army. The U.S. made its revolution to escape such a predicament, and if this usurper of Congressional authority is not stopped and punished, these crimes will continue under each succeeding executive.
